In September there were a total of eight demolition permits applied for in Arlington County. All of them were for single family homes. Six of them are located in North Arlington and two in South Arlington. 66% (6 of 9) of the applications are speculative developments. September applications range greatly from 21 (2014) to 11 (2019). The Arlington County World War I Task Force and the Arlington Historical Society are sponsoring an event on Thursday, June 28 from 5:30pm until 8:00pm to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of the Great War. About 200 Arlingtonians were sent into battle and 13 gave their lives. For more information, visit the Arlington Historical Society website.
