The cemetery is part of the Central United Methodist Church, located at Fairfax Drive and North Stafford Street. In July 2016, a total of twenty (20) demolition permits were applied for in Arlington County. Sixteen were for single-family homes. Five of the properties are in South Arlington. The Washington & Old Dominion Railroad was an important part of the history of Arlington. Bringing goods to the industrial uses in Rosslyn, Cherrydale and East Falls Church which supported the growing Arlington community. The railroad operated from 1912 to 1968.
