In July 2015, a total of thirty-one (31) demolition permits were applied for in Arlington County. Twenty-three (23) were for single-family homes; seven were for commercial propreties; and one was for a detached garage. South Arlington had three of the residential demolition permits and North Arlington accounted for the remaining 20 permits. The Arlington County School Board will hold two meetings on the historic district designation of Stratford Junior High School in August. HALRB recommended designation at their June 2015 Public Hearing. No schedule is in place yet for action on this designation by the School Board or County Board.
