A wide range of important and ongoing issues go before the HALRB on Wednesday, August 19. The HALRB agenda is divided up among several topics based on the action to be taken that event.
On the Discussion Agenda is a request by Arlington County to a demolish garage, reconfigure and resurface existing driveway, add new hard scape features, and remove two trees at Reevesland Historic District, 400 North Manchester Street. This request is part of the County effort to prepare the property for re-subdivision and the sale of a parcel of land with the Reevesland farmhouse. (Preservation Arlington is part of a team looking at ways to keep Reevesland accessible to the public). The Discussion Agenda is scheduled for 7:35-8:20 PM.
There are two items on the agenda as Discussion Items. The first is concerning a historic marker and site recognition for George Washington Carver Homes, 1300-1362 South Rolf Street, 1324-1330 South Queen Street, and 1707-1735 13th Road South, which are under contract to a developer and are slated for demolition and redevelopment. The second is Work Session #3 with Arlington County Public Schools staff concerning the current status of plans for the addition to the Stratford School, 4100 Vacation Lane.
