LOST: SEPTEMBER 2022

In September demolition permits were record for 27 properties in Arlington County. Twenty-six are for single family homes and one is for a commercial property. The commercial property is a major redevelopment in downtown Rosslyn. Of the homes, five are in South Arlington. It is remarkable to note that twelve of the homes were recently purchased for over $1million and ten of them were purchased by home builders.

Nine of the homes are located in National Register Historic Districts and would be eligible for tax incentives if they had been preserved and or upgraded. It is unusual to have a tear down in the Arlington Heights National Register Historic District.
