All are for single family homes and all but one are in North Arlington. 42% were in National Register Historic Districts; 37% were speculative developments; and, 21% were sold for over a $1m only to be demolished. All were for single family homes. three of the homes are located in South Arlington with the remainder in North Arlington. In September demolition permits were record for 27 properties in Arlington County. Twenty-six are for single family homes and one is for a commercial property. The commercial property is a major redevelopment in downtown Rosslyn. Of the homes, five are in South Arlington. The big news for 2021 is: 26 homes were purchased for over $1 million and then demolished. A home was purchased for $1.7 million in Ashton Heights and demolished. At least a dozen of the homes purchased over a $1 million were bought by developers and demolished.
