LOST: September 2021
In late 2020 the County went “live” with a new permitting system. In such demolition permits are tracked differently and we are still catching up to the new system. As of September we are up to date but plan to resolve a few issues by the end of the year.
In September a total of twenty demolition permits were applied for in Arlington County. All were for single family homes. Three of the homes were in South Arlington while the rest are in North Arlington. At least ten are speculative developments. Seven of the homes were purchased for over $1.0 million dollars and are being demolished. Seven.
Eight of the properties are location in National Register Historic Districts.
