At their January 31 meeting, the Arlington County Board appointed a World War I Commemoration Task Force, along with other appointments.

WWI Commemoration Task Force members include:
Cathy Hix as the Arlington Public Schools representative;
Gabriel Perez and James Nicholson, as the Arlington Public Schools High School Student representatives;
Sara Steinberger and Mitchell Zink, as the HALRB representatives;
Carl Lankowski and J. Brinton Rowdybush as the Arlington Sister Cities Association representatives;
Karl VanNewkirk, as the Arlington Historical Society representative;
Craig Syphax, as the Arlington Black Heritage Museum representative;
Allison Finkelstein, as the Preservation Arlington representative;
Frank O’Leary, Dan Donahue, Brendon Gehrke, and Joseph Simonelli as the Military & Veterans Affairs Committee;
and, Tom Dickinson, Edwin Fountain and Chaz Hendrix.
