On January 12 “DEMO SFD” (Single Family Dwelling) is in the description field of a LDA (Land Disturbing Activity) Permit filed with Arlington County for 6407 Wilson Boulevard. This follows the December 2 application for a “Cap Off Sewer” which was approved on December 7. This LDA Permit is the next step towards demolition of the Febrey-Lothrop home.

There is an online petition to the County Manager and the County Board requesting that the demolition be suspended, the Local Historic District designation be expedited and the property be purchased or that the County find a buyer who will preserve the property for public use. The survey has over 600 signatures already and can be accessed online.
