Over the last twelve years, 1,763 single family homes have been demolished in Arlington County. This is just over 6% of the total number of single family homes in the County. These numbers only account for complete demolitions and do not include major gutting of homes or major additions which are also dramatically changing the character of our single family home neighborhoods. In the last seven years, over 263 of these demolished homes were in a National Register designated neighborhood….
