The July 2020 meeting of the HALRB (Historical Affairs and Landmark Review Board) will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22. This is a NEW time and the first virtual meeting of the Board. The Agenda includes

Discussion Agenda for:

  • 2101 North Kenmore Street in the Maywood Historic District for retroactive review of a sharing library box on the corner of the property visible from 21st Avenue North and North Kenmore Street.
  • 2210 North Nelson Street in the Maywood Historic District to install an electric vehicle charging station near the front of the property on the side of the historic dwelling.
  • 2324 North Edgewood Street in the Maywood Historic District to install solar panels on the non-historic rear addition of the historic house and the front of the historic garage.
  • 2206 North Kenmore Street in the Maywood Historic Districtto demolish a non-contributing outbuilding.

Administrative COA:
The agenda also has seventeen (17) Administrative COAs that were approved by staff and are provided as informational items to HALRB.

Plus additional items.

The Historical Affairs and Landmark Review Board (HALRB) advises the County Board on historic preservation matters. The HALRB nominates properties for local and national designation and also reviews plans for exterior alterations, demolition and new construction in locally designated Arlington historic districts through a Certificate of Appropriate (CoA) process.
