Arlington House is Fully Furnished

After standing empty for several years as it went through a comprehensive restoration, Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial, has been rededicated and reopened with its historic furnishings intact. Arlington House

Visitors may now see all furnished rooms, including the north wing and second floor, where Robert E. Lee wrote his resignation from the U.S. Army at the start of the Civil War. During the restoration, most of the furnishings and artifacts were in storage or on display at the Friendship Hill National Historic Site.
